Long Traders Take 87% of Crypto Liquidations After Hot September CPI
Long traders bore nearly nine of every ten dollars erased from the crypto derivatives market over the past 24 hours. Aggregate liquidation data shows $456.31 million in forced position closures, a 124.47% jump from the previous day, and $397.81 million of that total, or 87.2%, came from leveraged long positions.
This surge in liquidations followed hot September CPI data, which impacted market sentiment and triggered significant volatility. Bitcoin trades near $80,900 with the PPI due today, adding further uncertainty to the current trading environment.
